Across the globe, Awana gives kids from every background and culture a place to belong, build confidence and grow in the faith. Awana reaches kids where they are at and walks alongside them in their faith journey.
In Adel, this non-profit, non-denominational program is sponsored by New Hope Church.
Meetings are held at New Hope Church most Wednesday evenings from September 21st through mid-April for children age 4 through 5th grade.
Each weekly Awana club meeting is divided into 3 main segments:
Includes object lessons and Bible teaching on a variety of topics relevant to young people.
Provides the opportunity to participate as team members in a physical activity to help develop team spirit, good sportsmanship, coordination skills, and self-confidence.
Leaders work with small groups to listen to clubbers recite memorized Bible verses and to answer questions on Bible verses. Awards to display on a clubbers uniform are earned after they have covered the handbook material adequately and a leader has signed their handbook.
