Our Mission

To come along side women with a history of emotional, spiritual, physical, parental, or sexual abuse, & assisting them in their healing journey. This support is provided through opportunities, in a safe environment, for engagement with God and each other in finding hope and the ability to move into a more meaningful life. We encourage counseling and treatment of survivors by licensed professionals as an integral part of the recovery process.

First, be present, walking with the hurting
He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5). God doesn't look at our suffering with distant coldness. He entered our brokenness and felt it firsthand. Our Lord knows pain and loss because he chose to walk beside us in pain.   Trauma.
You probably cringed a little when you read that word. Trauma is a word that suggests real pain and serious struggles. It feels like a foreign concept to how we often envision the Christian life to be. We assume it’s something that only happens to people who have lived a tough life or are surrounded by the wrong people. But these assumptions are so far from the truth. I couldn’t recognize trauma when I experienced several types of abuse in my own life. I even endured mental and emotional
abuse from someone who called himself a Christian. I have seen it in my family when they experienced a serious loss. I have recognized it in my friends’ lives, but only after I understood the signs.

So how would understanding trauma have helped in any one of these situations?
Many people, if not most, have experienced trauma, but how people are supported is key. Understanding and learning about trauma will help Christians to recognize those struggling around us, get them the help they need quicker, and love them in the best way possible. As we learn how to care for the hurt, we are helping them carry the weight of their burdens. In this 9-week course we work through individual trauma’s that women face today in a healthy and supportive setting that can uplift and reconnect your heart, mind, and soul back to your one and only creator. Understanding that God can work through trauma to bring about good, helps shift the perspective from one of despair to one of possibility. It allows individuals to see their suffering within the larger context of God's redemptive plan.

Beginning January 20th a group will be gathering for 9 weeks reading and discussing the book Becoming Myself by Stasi Eldredge.  It addresses many different topics that women face that can break the bond they have with God and help to repair that bond.
